Assessment of reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges

The need for a seminar arose from the result of a 1987 survey, commissioned by the Department of Transport, which established that assessment and remedial work on bridges would cost around £700 million.

Speakers were drawn from Government departments, consulting engineers and testing firms.
