EEFIT Image Database CD (2003)

The Earthquake Engineering Field Investigation Team has compiled its back catalogue of slides into a picture gallery on CD. The CD includes images from the following earthquakes (with number of images shown in brackets): -

• The Mexico Earthquake of 10 August 1985 (20)


• The Newcastle, Australia Earthquake, 18 December 1989 (24)


• The Romania Earthquakes of 30-31 May, 1990 (33)


• The Manjil, Iran Earthquake of 20 June 1990 (22)


• The Luzon, Philippines Earthquake of 16 July 1990 (19)


• The Augusta, Sicily Earthquake of 13 December 1990 (15)


• The Erzincan, Turkey Earthquake of 13 March 1992 (20)


• The Northridge, USA Earthquake of 17 January, 1994 (24)

The images (jpeg files) are displayed through a web browser and are arranged in a hierarchy by earthquake giving thumbnail images and full size images with captions. The images contained on the CD may be reproduced, subject to the following criteria:

1. The CD is not to be reproduced in its entirety


2. The CD and the images contained within are not to be reproduced for commercial gain without prior agreement with EEFIT


3. Any reproduced images must provide proper credit to EEFIT either in close proximity to the image or in a special section devoted to credits. The preferred credit line is “Courtesy Earthquake Engineering Field Investigation Team (EEFIT), UK”
