About the speakers

Jo de Serrano
Jo is RedR UK’s CEO. She has worked in international development for almost 20 years. She worked for DFID’s Chase Operations Team for 13 years in humanitarian affairs and latterly as Senior Humanitarian Deployments Manager, for the deployment of surge capacity for humanitarian response. She was awarded an OBE in 2016 for her work in global humanitarian emergency response and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Portsmouth for her work in global humanitarian emergency response and international relations.

Andrew Lamb
Andrew is the global innovation lead for Field Ready, a humanitarian disaster-aid agency that helps provide on-the-ground solutions when and where they're needed. Andrew is a systems and information engineer, a former CEO of Engineers Without Borders UK and a current Shuttleworth Foundation Fellow. He's worked with a wide range of humanitarian innovation projects, donors and labs/incubators – and has a particular interest in scaling up innovations and aid-sector systems change. Andrew is a board member of RedR and the Appropedia Foundation.

Richard Luff
Richard, is a chartered engineer and MCIWEM and has been working as an independent humanitarian consultant for the last 9 years. In this capacity Richard has worked in short term coordination & programme positions, undertaken humanitarian programme reviews/evaluation, developed and ran training courses. This builds upon over 20 years working for Oxfam, DFID and UNICEF in a variety of roles from programme positions, through to general coordination and management. Richard has worked in over 40 different countries.
