Currently the largest modular timber hybrid construction in Germany offering 32,000m² of office space.
The modular timber hybrid construction method was key to achieving the projects ambitious sustainability goals and was integrated into the engineering concept from the outset. The approach facilitated rapid construction and the structure’s lightweight properties reduced costs and materials associated with creating the building’s foundation.
This ambitious project aimed to reduce the building’s carbon footprint though the use of timber and other sustainable materials. The modular timber hybrid construction method saved construction time and show excellent detailing. The engineers demonstrated full lifecycle consideration for the future reuse of materials.
Additionally great consideration was given to the wellbeing of the end users in the design.
This project serves as a great example of zero-carbon buildings and timber-concrete-hybrid systems.
