The IStructE is a charity and the world's largest professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world’s iconic structures.

Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit, as well as working to promote environmental sustainability with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

Many of our members work to support the world’s most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

Membership Qualifications Executive

As a Membership Qualifications Executive, you will act as secretary to the Application and Professional Review Panel (A&PR Panel) and will process a variety of applications including (but not limited to) Technician, Fellow and Associate. You will be involved in the production of statistical reports to be reported to the A&PR Panel and Membership Committee and work collaboratively across the teams within the Membership and Education Directorate.

Registration Schemes Senior Executive
Registration Schemes Senior Executive

The Registration Schemes Senior Executive role is varied and fast-paced, responding to enquiries from members and other stakeholders and deputising as required for the Registration Schemes Manager. The role holder will be responsible for providing secretariat support to the SER Board and Registration Boards and to manage the audit programme of approved certifiers and bodies.

Regional Groups Executive

The Regional Group Executive is responsible for assisting with administrative support to the Regional Groups under the Structured for Success initiative. This role involves working with Regional Groups to promote and develop their regional work, including building relationships with local universities and supporting the membership journey. Additionally, the Regional Group Executive facilitates collaboration and the sharing of best practices among Regional Groups.

Head of Professional Conduct
Head of Professional Conduct

This role will manage the Professional Conduct Department and will be the lead on matters relating to the Institution’s professional conduct activities. The role is responsible for ensuring that members adhere to the established ethical standards and professional guidelines and will manage our most complex conduct cases. The Professional Conduct Manager will report into this role who in turn will manage a Professional Conduct Coordinator.
