There has been a very substantial international programme to develop the second generation of the EN Eurocodes. This major, coordinated revision of all Eurocode parts will include significant updates and new parts. The first of the second-generation standards has now been released to National Standardisation Bodies. By 2028, all new Eurocode parts will be available and it is expected that new designs will be undertaken to second generation Eurocodes.
The purpose of this talk is therefore to explain the objectives and status of the Eurocodes evolution programme and present some of the key updates within second generation Eurocodes.
